Another Time of the Great Giving

5:31 AM

We go back once again to YAPIS Inc.'s Gift Giving Project, on its second and final round. And indeed, the project was a successful one, and I commend the project chairpersons namely Ypn. Jhon Ortiz, Ypn. Ahmad Abbas and Ypn. Cliff Casas for a job well done.

The second school we went to was located to a community near where I live. Located in barangay Merila of Iligan City, the Miguel Obach Memorial Elementary School has 15 Yapis scholars as recipients of our noche buena packages.

It was fun watching the scholars play alongside with other kids in the school. The event was considered special since school break has already started and the scholars just went to school to participate in the activity. The kids were very eager during the games, with the Dionesia clap routine!

The organization was also delighted with the attendance of the school teachers in our mini program, watching their students play games and having fun. We thank also the hospitality of the school for the assistance they've extended during our short stint at the area. To our shock and amazement, the Yapis scholars prepared a short Christmas presentation for us and they were very cute in their recital in a nativity scene and ended with a lively "Joy to the World" song rendition.

YAPIS Inc. has pledged their support in helping the students of Miguel Obach Memorial Elementary School in preparing for the upcoming National Achievement Test (NAT) next year. The prospect of teaching kids and helping them prepare for the examinations is too exciting! I can't wait for it!
